Gerson Gibbs, MBA, is an Operational and Compliance Consultant with Quoin Capital, where he provides independent oversight to ensure the business’s success, by following the rules and regulations set forth by government agencies. Mr. Gibbs is the Founder & CEO of Belite Capital, a regulatory compliance and business management company. Belite offers oversight services and solutions provided with watchful and responsible care for the participants in the investment industry: Investment Firms and Investment Professionals, Investors and Issuers. He launched Belite as an outgrowth of his first highly successful compliance business, Phoenix Compliance Group, that started in 2012, after departing after almost ten years with the Financial Industry Regulatory Agency (FINRA). Mr. Gibbs has over two decades experience in the securities business, with almost ten years as a top financial cop as a senior FINRA regulator: he has overseen the examinations of some of the world’s largest investment banks, including: JP Morgan Chase Investment Division, UBS Domestic Investment Division and UBS International (Puerto Rico). His time and experiences with these firms inspired the creation of a compliance services organization that can provide custom expertise for small and medium sized businesses. After great success with Phoenix Compliance, Belite Capital was created to address the remaining needs of small- to mid- cap company Founders and CEOs, creating solutions that are supported by the use of emerging technology and outsourcing services. Prior to founding Belite, Gerson Gibbs was a Director for a legendary, minority-owned investment bank based in New York City. For the last eight years, he has been Professor Gibbs, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on Entrepreneurship, Business Planning, and Finance. His client roster includes brokerage firms, private equity firms, hedge funds, and HNWI across the country.
Gerson Gibbs received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business from the University at Albany, and his Masters in Business Administration from the Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY). Mr. Gibbs resides in New York City, where he is an advisor for the MCNY Financial Services Department and a member of Psi Beta Theta Honors Society. In his free time, the passionate Panamanian musician mentors community youth immigrants through his media production company: developing motivated creatives into the next generation of entrepreneurs.
